Middlebury College Tai Chi Chuan: A Contemplative Practice Class

Nadine is the Community Engagement Specialist for New Perennials and a Visiting Scholar in the Environmental Studies Program at Middlebury. She has been practicing and studying Tai Chi Chuan and philosophy since 2015 with the Tung Family, Falling Waters School of Tai Chi, and Tung Family Tai Chi Chuan of Vermont. This course at Middlebury is an introduction to Tai Chi as a contemplative practice. You will be learning the Tung Family's yang form Tai Chi slow set. Nadine will be sharing Qi Gong practices, meditation techniques as well as holding space for discussions on Daoism and how this philosophy and way of being is at the root of healthy bodies and a healthy planet.

This introductory contemplative practice course is free to all Middlebury College faculty, staff, and students.  It is made possible by the generous support from Middlebury College's Athletics Program, the Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life, and the Franklin Environmental Center at Hillcrest. Additional sponsorship for faculty and staff has been provided by the GMHEC Wellness Program.
